ConjuPepDB has been developed in collaboration of the Artificial Transporters Research Group of the Research Centre for Natural Sciences and the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Semmelweis University. These groups are focused on artificial biomimetic supramolecular constructs, where the conjugation of a small molecule with a peptidic construct plays a pivotal role in manifesting biological function. Additionally we are particularly interested in molecular level understanding of structure, function and mechanisms of membrane active compounds. Our aim is to study and design cell-membrane penetrating peptide based artificial chloride ion transporters for the treatment of cystic fibrosis.
