ConjuPepDB is the first public database of drug–peptide conjugates, created with the aim to gather and provide relevant information to the wider scientific community.
Drug–peptide conjugates are therapeutic agent with one or more drug molecules covalent coupled with or without a linker to a peptide. These compounds merge the beneficial properties of small molecule drugs and peptide, of which acts mostly as delivery vectors. Peptides have several beneficial properties over proteins, e.g. ease of chemical synthesis, higher drug loading, better tissue and cell membrane penetration, etc. Thus, the development of peptide-drug conjugates is of considerable current interest in the field of medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, etc.
ConjuPepDB is designed to be user-friendly, with options to browse all the conjugates, or browse by articles. It also allows the user to perform a simple and, advanced search.
